More than 160 swimmers descended on the Gawler Aquatic Centre last month to attend the annual Gawler Amateur Swimming Club Carnival.

Hosted on Sunday, November 24, the event involved 17 clubs from across the state, with the 162 competitors travelling from as far away as Broken Hill to participate.

Perfect weather conditions resulted in a high level of competitive swimming throughout the day.

The Supercuts Shield, 4 by 50 Medley relay event was fiercely competitive, with first and second place going to Starplex Swim Club.

Third went to the Barossa club.

In January 2020 the Gawler Gators will be heading to Murray Bridge to compete at the SA Country Swimming Championships.

Good luck to all the swimmers and 'Go Gators' (Gawler Aquatic Centre).
