Gawler patrols caught a drunk and speeding p-plater from Williamstown at Kudla early this morning.
Just before 1.30am, November 30, police were conducting speed detection duties on Main North Road when they allegedly detected a Holden ute travelling north at 149km/h in a 90km/h zone.
Patrols were able to stop the car on Tiver River Road at Evanston South and speak to the driver, a 19-year-old Williamstown man.
The man was breath tested and allegedly returned a positive reading of 0.091.
The man was reported for excessive speed, breaching his provisional conditions and drink driving, he will be summoned to court at a later date.
He also lost his licence on the spot for six months and his car was impounded for 28 days.
