Creative minds of the Barossa are welcome to attend two creative industries roundtable events hosted this month in Nuriootpa.

The free event, presented by the Department of Innovation and Skills, is aimed at community members sharing thoughts on the region's creative industries sector.

It is specifically held with consideration to the recently released Creative Industries Discussion paper.

Those participating will be joined by Kane Moroney from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and Jenny O'Brien from Tourism Barossa to consider practical solutions to audience development in the region.

According to Barossa Council's regional live music co-ordinator Leah Blankendaal, this is an "excellent opportunity" for artists, urging them to take up the offer.

"[This will allow] artists to connect and discuss what matters to them and develop solutions for the future so we can grow our arts sector," Ms Blankendaal explained.

"As artists can often feel isolated, these events are also a great way to network and connect," she added.

Participants are welcome to attend one or both sessions, starting at 4pm with the SA Growth State Creative Industries Sector Discussion, followed with the Music sector roundtable: Building an audience for live music in the Barossa at 6pm.

Hosted for Wednesday, November 20, each session will run for about two hours and will be held at the Barossa Campus, located at Beckwith Park, Barossa Valley Way, Nuriootpa.
