First Friday lawn bowls held under bright lights

The first Friday night fixture of the season was held with thoughts of who would shine bright under the lights or who would get stage fright.

Nuri travelled to Panther park in a battle of the big cats but it was the home side winning 58-52. Mat Short's rink had a tough win over Jimmy Barr's troops 15-7.

Wayne Williams grabbed 2 points beating Ian Elsworthy 9 - 17, while a star studded Stuey Allen' s rink got over Matty Jones 10-15.

It was Friday night fever as David 'disco' Jaunay's dancers pulled out all the moves to win against Stephen Heinze 24-12.

Tanunda hosted Lyndoch and the Magpies showed that swooping season is still here downing the Eagles 72-47. The Eagles only winning rink was the man, the myth, the legend Harry Sykes 14-20 over Russell Walker.

David Martin fell over the line against Tony Drummond 13-11, with all eyes on Timmy Liersch who dished out a commanding win over Dylan O'Leary 28-4.

Freeling took on Eudunda but the Roosters were to strong at the chicken coop winning 66-42. Franky Pfitzner won against Trevor Heinjus 19-7 as Chris Jones kept the bowls rolling downing Matthew Marslen 14-10. The Demons' only 2 points came from Nathan Marslen's rink getting over Kym 'chukka' Schutz 10-14. Tait Rogers wrecking crew was at it again with another strong win over Terry 'turtle' Curtis 23 - 11.
