Tanunda continued their fine form with an outright victory over Freeling on Saturday.

After a close first innings, Sam Colquhoun, Mitch Boschen and Chris Gattermayr dominated the game for the Magpies. It has been a bright start to the season for Tanunda and must surely have their eyes on a final's birth.

Sandy Creek 'skittled' Gilbert Valley for 97 to take first innings points by 152 runs. Lethal Lee Hill got the ball rolling for the Cockies to take 3 for 24 and Captain Rooster Handtke chipped in with 3 for 32 to send Gilbert Valley to a disappointing defeat.

Batting for a second time, Sandy Creek was in early trouble with James Vandeleur taking 3 quick wickets to have the Cockies 3 for 4 in their second innings.

Again, Rooster Handtke came to the Cockies rescue with a classy 57 no before common sense came into play and the game was called off. Angaston cruised to a 9-wicket victory over Mallala in a crushing performance.

Jay Antonie with 4 wickets, Bubbles Burgess 3 wickets and Benny Antonie 2 wickets did all the damage for Angaston.

Light Pass earned a hard-fought victory over Eudunda Robertstown by 57 runs in the finish.

Don't let the margin fool you, Eudunda Robertstown fought for every run. However, thanks to a slow but very important 7th wicket partnership of 51, between James Braunack 34 and Trae 'The General' McArthur 41, Light Pass got over the line.

Braunack then combined with Alex Crossley's 37 put on 49 runs for the 8th wicket in a good display of team cricket.

Lyndoch bounced into the winner circle with an 83-run victory over Angaston. Pendall Peel made a good 40 before playing a loose shoot and falling to gorgeous George Claridge, Aaron Murphy with 75 and Josh Young 44 ensuring the Dockers had to fight hard for victory.

George Claridge 4 for 36, Brendan Irvine 3 for 35 and Willie Roberts 2 for 40 all bowled well for Lyndoch to bring home the victory.

Kapunda brought up their first win of the season when they upset favourites Gawler Central by 41 runs.

Chasing Kapunda's modest 174, Gawler Central crash to defeat under some really good bowling from Brett Johnson 3 for 14, Locky Mickan 3 for 22 and Sammy Wood 2 for 40 doing the damage for Kapunda.

Only Liam Retallack who posted an entraining 36 runs for Centrals did any good. Greenock completed a good win over Willaston by 146 runs with Sammy Nitschke 44, Benny Roennfeldt managed to slam 62 off 34 balls and Hudson Noack a solid 60. Scott Blundell was the pick of the bowlers for Willaston taking 3 for 66 in a solid display.

Meanwhile, the BLCA have decided not to admit another team into their competition this season. Time restraints was a reason which led to another club from the Gawler region not entering the competition.
