A male probationary driver has been caught for speeding 60km/h over the speed limit at Greenock on Thursday night.
Nuriootpa Operations Manager Senior Sergeant Sven Kahl stressed that, "Driving at excessive speeds not only increases the risk of killing yourself but passengers in your car and other road users around you."
The incident comes after another probationary lost his licence for speeding on the Sturt Highway, Greenock on August 3.
Just after 9pm on September 12, Nuriootpa Police detected a Mitsubishi sedan travelling at 170km/h in a 110km/h speed zone on the Sturt Highway.
The driver, a 19-year-old Freeling man, was issued with an expiation notice totalling $1531 for exceeding the speed limit and breaching his provisional licence.
He was also issued with a six-month instant licence disqualification and his car was defected.
