Williamstown's Sarah Mills has been named Trainee of the Year at the South Australian Training Awards.
Ms Mills was named through her Certificate III in Beauty Services.
Training and Skills Commission Chair Michael Boyce OAM said the standard of entries demonstrated exceptional quality across the breadth of the vocational education and training sector.
"These awards acknowledge and reward both individuals and organisations that have demonstrated exceptional results and achievements," Mr Boyce OAM said.
"Individuals are recognised for their potential and it gives them a competitive edge in their careers; while organisations can use the award as a marketing tool, highlighting quality and innovative approaches to training.
"The Training and Skills Commission has an important role in ensuring that clear training priorities deliver strong outcomes aligned with skills demands across industry."
Sarah Mills will now be eligible to represent South Australia at the Australian Training Awards in Brisbane on Thursday 21 November.
