Faith Lutheran College student and talented musician George Alice has been selected as a top five finalist in Triple J's Unearthed High competition.

George Alice, 16, has been performing and busking since the age of ten and her debut song 'Circles', shows an impressive depth and talent far beyond her years.

George, whose Indi Pop music has been likened to Maggie Rogers and Julia Jacklin, says she likes telling stories through music.

"I write songs to make you feel and stories to make you think," she writes.

The Unearthed High competition invited highschool students to submit their original tracks. The winner, announced next week, is flown to Triple J to record a track and pair up with an Aussie artist and their management.
