Recent dingo attacks on Fraser Island prompted an urgent review.

Queensland officials will assess the management of Fraser Island's dingo population after two tried to run off with a toddler they snatched from a camper trailer.

More rangers will also patrol Fraser Island over the rest of the Easter and Anzac Day holidays after what is now the third dingo attack on the island this year.

An urgent review will also look at other ways to prevent dangerous interactions between the animals and visitors to the island, along with a review of how visitors are educated about dingoes.

The review was announced by Environment Minister Leeanne Enoch on Sunday, as a 14-month-old boy recovers from surgery to treat injuries he suffered from the dogs on Thursday night, before being saved by his father.
