An invasion of scarecrows is about to hit the region - 145 registered creations to be precise.
A much loved tradition of the Barossa Vintage Festival, the 2019 Scarecrow Trail provides a free, self-guided tour which is fun for the whole family.
You can collect a map from the Barossa Visitor Centre or Barossa Herald office, or use this interactive map (below) to find your way from one end of the Barossa to the other.
Click or tap on the map to zoom in on each location.
Literally popping up overnight, you will spot scarecrows stretched out in paddocks, adorning shop windows, lining school boundaries, inviting visitors and locals into cellar doors and businesses and welcoming people to community groups and churches.
Scarecrows need to be out and ready for the public to view from this Saturday, April 6, to be considered for a prize.
Once you've checked out these amazing creations, it's time to vote for your favourite in the People's Choice category.
The scarecrow creation, with the highest amount of votes, will receive a $100 Tanunda Clubhouse voucher and six bottles of Tim Smith Wines. You can only vote online.
