A speeding motorist was fined and lost his licence this week after being detected for excessive speed by a fixed camera at Gawler late last year.
The yellow Ford Falcon was detected travelling at 203km/h in a 110km/h zone on the Northern Expressway, on Friday, December 28, 2018.
On Thursday, March 14, the driver, a 59-year-old man Buchfelde man, was issued with a $1096 fine and six month loss of licence for excessive speed.
This is the third motorist to be reported by SA Police for exceeding the speed limit in the area this year.
January 22: An 81-year-old Burton woman copped a significant fine after she was detected for driving 56km/h above the speed limit at Lewiston. She was detected for speeding 136km/h in an 80km/h zone and was issued with a $1096 fine
January 25: Police also allege a 38-year-old Willaston woman was detected in a Ford station wagon travelling at 181km/h in a 110km/h zone at Ward Belt. She was reported for driving at a dangerous speed and will appear in court at a later date.
