170 years of wine history will be ignited and shared with the public during Yalumba’s Vintage Picnic hosted for Wednesday, April 24.
The event, which falls under the 2019 Barossa Vintage Festival banner, will welcome thousands of people to their Eden Valley Road, Angaston, site.
This year’s Vintage Festival theme ‘Our Barossa Story’ will see Yalumba provide barrel bending demonstrations in their on-site cooperage, grafting demonstrations from their world-class vine nursery, preserving workshops with Those Barossa Girls, plus exclusive spirit and fortified masterclasses presented by Yalumba winemakers.
Held on the Clocktower lawn, guests can enjoy live music and Yalumba’s fine wines with picnic-style dishes by Casa Carboni, Vintners Bar & Grill and El Estanco, alongside a number of other regional producers.
As a special treat for festival goers, Yalumba winemakers will host a VIP Winemakers Lunch with three courses prepared by Vintners Bar & Grill chef Peter Clarke, paired with a new collection of Yalumba wines, Samuel’s Collection.
Entry to the picnic is free with tickets for the winemakers lunch, preserving class and masterclasses to be purchased via the Yalumba website.
