Kapunda Craft Shop’s ‘Spirit of Christmas’ held during the 2018 festive period was thoroughly enjoyed with 42 beautifully decorated trees viewed by more than 400 people.

The annual event, held in the town’s institute over seven days involved local businesses, the kindergarten, primary school, churches, club and individuals displaying their uniquely decorated tree.

According to Kapunda Craft Shop volunteers, the event was again successful, with the support of Light Regional Council with hall hire and donation of helium for balloons.

Volunteers were also thrilled to see 435 people sign the visitor’s book.

Several teachers, carers with their classes from the primary school and kindergarten visited and were given a small bag of lollies, with the leftover bags being donated to the Kapunda Christmas Carol organisers for their event.

Proceeds of $380 from the event were donated to The Kapunda Car Cruise fundraising to assist their amazing charity work which results in valuable donations for the Kapunda Hospital.

The Craft Shop volunteers wish to thank all who supported the event in any way as the goal and outcome is to benefit the Kapunda community and surrounding areas.
