Angaston based Vinpac International label operator Briony Hammond provided food for thought to Barossa Enterprises’ supported employees ahead of the Employee of the Month for January announcement on Tuesday afternoon.
“Always remember that the bottle you are putting a label could be the one that ends up with the Queen one day,” she shared.
Ms Hammond and bottling manager Nick Nesbitt were on site to present supported employee Jennifer Marrin with the perpetual trophy and $100 gift voucher.
Ms Marrin was nominated for her her willingness to do any task she is requested to do.
According to BE staff, ‘Jennifer never complains about the job she has been given and does the task to the best of her ability’.
The award also highlights Ms Marrin returning to work, following a lengthy stint away, with a positive attitude, excellent work ethic and mature approach to fellow workers.
Vinpac International, who sponsor the monthly award and work closely with BE to provide work such as labelling wine bottles, left all BE staff lost for words when Mr Nesbitt shared how the company labels 100,000 bottles in one shift – about 12,000 bottles per hour.
