According to organisers, the Mount Pleasant Christmas Twilight Farmers Market has gained the reputation of being one of the most popular twilight farmers markets in the state.
The market, which is held at the Mount Pleasant Showground, is now in its sixth year and has grown enormously over that period, with the Twilight Christmas market being the premier event of the market’s busy calendar.
“Come and enjoy the friendly and colourful atmosphere of a country farmer's market, this year’s Christmas Twilight will be held Friday, December 21 and will open at 5pm and then go through until 9pm,” market manager Genevieve Hebart explained.
With over 50 fresh food producers on site – many of which are undercover, along the delicious dining options and set in very picturesque surroundings of the town – the market has plenty to offer for a night out with the family, as well as the opportunity to stock up for your Christmas event.
“For all your Christmas fare from ham, fruit and vegetables, cheese, meat, fish, bread, wine, beer, dairy, chocolates and biscuits, they are just some of the large variety of products that will be on offer on the night.” Ms Hebart said.
“Free tastings, easy parking, a visit from Santa Claus for the children, along with entertainment and opportunity to support regional producers, this makes the Mount Pleasant Christmas Twilight Market an event not to be missed.”
Meanwhile, thye Mount Pleasant Farmers Market will be closed over the Christmas period, from December 22-29 and reopens in 2019 on Saturday, January from 8am-12 noon.
