Australian Skate League coming to Gawler

The Australian Skate Park League (SPL) is coming to Gawler Skate Park on Saturday the 24th of November part of the SA League.

The league is a collaborative national program that gives young skateboarders a chance to compete in more structured events. 

The Gawler round is an interconnected skate park event that will be held across the region, and will feature Scooter, BMX, and Skateboard competitions.

With the addition of skateboarding to the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games, the series presents as an opportunity for young skateboard enthusiasts to harness their skill base and progress through a structured national pathway.

The event is being held at the Gawler Skate Park at Clonlea Reserve, Murray Road, Willastonon on Saturday November 24.

Beginning at 11am and finishing by 4pm, the competition welcomes skaters, BMXers and scooterers alike. 

YMCA in conjunction with VSA (Victorian Skateboarding League) and participating LGA’s facilitate more than 90 SPL events a year, making up the Australian Skate Park League – the biggest and most established grass roots skateboard, scoot and BMX series in Australia.
