Community-minded residents who are keen to be part of local decision making are reminded they have less than a week to put forward their nominations in the 2018 council elections.
Nominations are scheduled to close on Tuesday, September 18 at noon.
“This is the last chance to nominate, as electors in all councils across the state will soon be voting for their chosen candidates,” Electoral commissioner Mick Sherry shared.
“This is your opportunity to make a difference and represent your local community.”
Information about the nomination process is available on the Electoral Commission SA website at www.esca.sa.gov.au.
Nominations will be declared after 4pm on Tuesday, September 18 when the draw for position of candidate names on ballot papers is hosted in each council.
