Motorists and pedestrians are asked to avoid a section of Third Street, Nuriootpa this afternoon as police officers work to locate a man who has breached his bail conditions.

Police vehicles block the intersections of Third and First streets and also at Old Kapunda Road and Third Street.

According to Barossa Police senior sergeant Sven Kahl, the man was arrested Monday night for breaching his bail conditions.

Police are also concerned for the man’s mental health, but say he is no threat to the public.

They urge people to avoid that section of cordoned off road so they, with dog operations, can continue with their search.

“We are currently monitoring his position,” Senior sgt Kahn said.
