It was a bit of a mixture of weather over the week with the ladies having a warm day for their Kapunda Light Challenge.

The ladies challenge brought out a great field of 21 players and the locals held the top four spots.

Marg Doecke, although technically not a local, had a very impressive 39 points followed by evergreen Helen Sexton on 37.

Janet Morrison was just a shot back followed by Carole Molloy 35.

Glenys Pierce was the best of the “away” team, also scoring 35 points. As always with the fillies the day was played in good spirits and friendly comradery.

On Thursday, a half dozen fillies were out for some exercise with Glennis Warrior the best of the bunch with 76.

Julie Holland was back in the top part of the field again with 79.

This week the ladies are playing the Kapunda Post Office stroke round.
