Glimpses of spring’s fine weather brought hoards of people far and wide to attend this year’s Barossa Gourmet event hosted across the weekend.
Buses and car loads meandered through the winery trail’s seven stops for their chance to taste new season wines, complemented by an array of tasty gourmet foods and backed up by live entertainment.
Barossa Gourmet 2018 hosted 32 events, which included lingering lunches, garden parties and feasts of fresh produce matched with award winning wines.
Many visitors also took the opportunity to pause and take selfies along Gomersal Road with the vibrant canola crops in full bloom.
It is fair to say the trail wineries were jam packed with people, including Whistler Wines who reached full capacity with visitors on Saturday afternoon.
Kellermeister, Lyndoch, saw gourmet lovers pack the grassy area, overlooking the Barossa Ranges, and also dance the day away with tunes by Jazz and Funk outfit Blue Lagoon.
On Barossa’s western ridge, Pindarie’s haystack was enjoyed by young and old with plenty of photo memories created.
