Renee Platt of Platinum Body has been selected as a finalist for the 2018 AusMumpreneur Awards in the Health and Wellbeing category.

The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The AusMumpreneur Network celebrate and recognise Aussie mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, product development, customer service and digital innovation.

The awards are designed to further recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.

Uninspired by other group training on offer, Ms Platt created her own style for women.

She explains how she was able to remove the typical barriers that stop women who begin exercise. With no men, no mirrors and no equipment – Platinum Body is one of the fastest growing women’s fitness movements in the region.

“Being selected as a finalist means so much to me because I am very passionate about women’s health and fitness, and I love how it enables me to change women’s lives,” she said.

Business is not always easy and Platinum Body has overcome challenges but has also seen great success with invitations to do live interviews on 9 News as an expert in women’s health in March.

Ms Platt also gives advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise.

”If it’s your passion it doesn’t feel like work. Find your passion and use it to solve a problem.”

The winners of the 2018 AusMumpreneur Awards will be announced at a special dinner at White Night Receptions in Melbourne on Friday, August 31.
