Kapunda-Eudunda Meals on Wheels Branch recently held a well-attended mid-year luncheon at the Sir John Franklin Hotel, Kapunda this month.
Co-ordinator Hazel Norris organised the event which featured an opportunity for fellowship between deliverers and recipients, along with some lucky draws and the acknowledgement of service years of several long-time members.
Over 110 years of deliveries was recognised with a number of long-service certificates and badges presented by Adelaide MOW branch service officer Brenton Dawkins.
Of particular merit was the service of Joanne Dickson, 40 years, Kerby Thorburn, 20 years, Jean Schrapel and Maureen Kerrigan, both 15 years.
Several other volunteers were highlighted for at least five years service.
Mr Dawkins acknowledged the service of the volunteers from Kapunda and Eudunda.
He paid tribute to the contribution made by the late Pat Hayward in her time as president of the local branch, saying her leadership had contributed to a strong and welcoming Branch which he had always enjoyed visiting.
