HALLE MARTIN: BLGW U14 Best & Fairest and TFC U14 player.

It was another good day for the A Grade with our group playing four quarters of consistent footy and coming away with a good win. Angus Kurtze was our best player on the day supplying out midfield with first use of the ball at stoppages. Josh Trembath played his role in the forward line and Darcy Hamon played another great game in defence.

The Reserves had a slow start but got the win against Gawler Centrals. Best players were James Heidrich & Joey Thompson.

Under 17’s had a good win over Gawler Central with Todd Falkenberg having another strong day in the ruck, tapping to on ballers who sent the ball forward.

It was great to get Aaron Bert back, who contributed well.  Best Players, Lewis Cowham, Isaac Feltus, Todd Falkenberg, Blade Trevorrow, Zac Ahrens and Dylan Davey.  Goal kickers Lewis Cowham 3, Blade Trevorrow 2, 1 ea. to Zac Ahrens, Liam Ellis and Isaac Feltus.

The U15’s came flying out of the blocks on a perfect morning for footy. Intensity was high, things were flowing nicely and they were rewarded for their effort with a seven goal first quarter.

With a comfortable lead at half time they boys lifted the foot off the pedal a little bit. This also provided an opportunity to mix things up a little and run some players in some different spots on the ground.

Centrals had a good crack in the second half to bring back the score a little, however Tanunda were happy to take the win at the end of the day. Special mentions going to a group of first year players in Patrick Brooks, Cooper Moen and James Kraft for their effort..

Another close game for the Under 13’s losing by two points but well played by the boys as they didn’t give up and kept trying all game.

Well played by Ned McAlister in defence  with his pressure, it was great to have Jack Collins back who worked hard in the middle giving us plenty of options and another solid game by Kalan Hoklas in the ruck, working hard around the ground.

It is great to see the improvement with the boys, certainly a solid effort just couldn’t get there for the win.

Friday nights game saw Under 11 Black come up against a competitive Gawler Central side. The game was played under high pressure which resulted in a low scoring game.

Great team effort again. Awards went to Sia Edwards, Jude Van Der Zande and Tom Roestenburg.

The TFC ladies had the BLGW Grand Finals on Sunday and while no Tanunda teams were playing for a Premiership all players enjoyed the last game of the season and are keen for 2019.
