Looking for native plants to brighten your garden or block and help sustain local native birds, native bees, butterflies and lizards? The Understorey Project may fulfill your wish.

The group reveals that about 80 native species of plants found in the Gawler and Barossa regions – range from trees and shrubs to lilies, ground covers, daisies and grasses.

A range of these native species will also be on sale on Saturday, June 23, for about $1.20, along with talks and information on landscaping with native plants.

Plant orders can be made via Gawler Environment Centre website www.gawlerenvironmentcentre.org.au for pick up day on June 23 from 10am-noon at Pioneer Park, Gawler.

Orders need to be received by Wednesday, June 20.
