This week the popular television cooking competition Masterchef will be taking on the Barossa Valley in one of its stops as it visits food destinations around South Australia..
Between June 10-14 the top 15 contestants will visit various locations around South Australia, undertaking a number of challenges that will have three final outcomes; two contestants will be sent home and one will receive an immunity pin, protecting them from an elimination round.
Now in its 10th season, Wednesday night will see contestants form teams in the Barossa to battle it out with two hours to prepare an entrée, a main and a dessert for 30 diners.
The South Australia week will also have contestants visit Maggie Beer’s picturesque farm, off Samuel Road, where the renowned cook will set an elimination challenge based on one of the most versatile proteins in the world – chicken.
Masterchef screens on channel 10 from 7.30pm.
