Barossa’s hidden gems are waiting to be captured in the 2019 Barossa Photographic Calendar Competition promoted by The Barossa Council.

Entries in the much-anticipated competition are now open.

The panel of regional judges seek 13 images that capture the many facets of the Barossa, from the area’s rich food, wine and culture to iconic landscapes, festivals and events.

In addition, the popular children’s category also makes a welcome return this year.

Barossa Council tourism services acting manager Megan Sweeney, encouraged amateur photographers to think laterally, as entries can be as diverse as the region itself.

“The Barossa is such an amazing canvas which means photo opportunities are discovered when you least expect them. Our 2018 calendar is testament to that, with a great selection of photos taken from unique and creative viewpoints,” she said.

Entries close Friday, July 13 and images will be exhibited in September at Barossa Regional Gallery and made available for sale.
