Sandy Creek put in a strong batting performance to rack up 9/265 against a steady Kapunda bowling attack in their Barossa and Light Cricket Association division one match on Saturday.
Jimmy Diener scored 67, Corey Roberts 60, Simon Longman, 56, and it was a surprising 23 not out from Scotty “Too Hottie” Hill.

South Gawler flexed its considerable muscle to dismiss Gawler Central for a dismal 86 runs while compiling 4/120 at stumps.
Davey “Habib” Golder once again took the bowling honours with three wickets and Chris Grasser made a classy 40 for South.
Freeling bounced back from their indifferent form off late to score 276 with Big Bluey McMillian top scoring with a superb 108. Ben Heinrich 47, Ben Waller 37 and 14-year-old Austin Poulton made a solid 20 for Freeling.
The shorter Gilbert Valley bowled to McMillian the harder and further he hit the ball. Jimmy Vandeleur three wickets and Thomas Connell four wickets were the pick of the bowlers for Gilbert Valley.
Tanunda recovered from being 2/18 to post 5/250 with Samuel “Rory” Colquhoun 107 and Trent Goers 64 sharing a third wicket partnership of 147 to be in the dominate position in this match.
The “Danny Boy” Doecke out of the bowling attack after only six overs, Nuriootpa struggled to trouble the Tanunda batsmen. The winner of this game will be promoted to the A1 division next season.
The Mosey family taught Light Pass a batting lesson to score 9/246. Nick made 87, little Jack 39 and the ageless John 27 while long lost cousin Wild Bill Loffler chimed in with 45.
Keegan Schulz with three wickets and Bill Bailey Nitschke two wickets were the pick of the Light Pass bowlers.
Greenock continued its late season surge with Benny Roenfeldt 62 no and Sammy Byrne 21 digging in to recover the Slungers for 6/43 to make a creditable 198.
Matthew “Robbie” Robinson took five wickets while captain Ryan Muirhead bowled without much luck.
This match will go the wire with the loser being relegated to the bottom of the premiership table.
