Williamstown ready for Anzac Day

Planning is well under way for the upcoming Anzac Day Service at Williamstown on April 25.

The Williamstown Historical Society and volunteers look forward to again sharing this important annual Memorial Service with you in 2018.

The Dawn Service will be conducted at 6.30am in Memorial Drive adjacent to the Williamstown RSL Hall and will include a wreath laying ceremony.

Breakfast will be available after the service for those attending.

There will be a $5 charge for egg and bacon sandwich and a drink per serve.

Last year, ex-service personnel and family members marched up Memorial Drive to the memorial area before the service and the Historical Society encourages your participation again this year.

“Sing Australia” will participate in the service.

If anybody has any small family artefacts or militaria they would like to display in the hall on the day they are most welcome to do so.
