In the 102nd year of the Lone Pine Tanunda Branch of the Agricultural Bureau of South Australia, the organisation is again staging a display in conjunction with the Tanunda Show on March 10.
These displays have been an integral part of both the bureau’s activities and the Tanunda Show since the mid 1940s.
This year, with a theme of “Wine and Dine Barossa”, the organisers have recruited Barossa identity Maggie Beer to make an appearance and provide a demonstration using local produce.
This will take place at the bureau display in the show hall at 12.30pm.
Several Barossa Food members are collaborating with the display to provide an insight into the wide array of locally produced foods, produce, fruit, dairy, meats, and even beer along with wine.
The day will conclude with the traditional auction at 4pm of display produce, giving show goers the chance to take home a range of product at the price that they choose to pay.
