Police have uncovered a large amount of drug paraphernalia following a search at Nuriootpa on Saturday.
It is alleged that about 1.30pm on February 10, police searched a house on Welland Road and subsequently located a rifle and ammunition in a car, further ammunition in the house, as well as four cannabis plants in the backyard, about 20 grams of methamphetamine, seven glass pipes, five cannabis bongs and about 18 grams of dried cannabis.
A 34-year-old Nuriootpa man was arrested and charged with possessing a controlled drug for sale, possessing equipment to use with a controlled drug, cultivating cannabis, possessing cannabis, possessing equipment for cannabis use, possessing a prescribed firearm without a licence and possessing ammunition without a licence or permit.
He was refused bail and was remanded in custody to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on February 16.
