Leah Fiegert’s infectious smile stood out at Barossa Enterprises on Monday after the diligent worker was rewarded with the site’s inaugural Employee of the Month award for January.
The supported worker, who joined BE in July 2008, was highlighted for being a “quiet achiever” who works to a “very high standard”.
According to BE chief executive officer Garry Velt, the award is given in conjunction with Vinpac International, a packaging supply, bottling and distribution centre, located at Angaston.
The company provides bottle rework for supported employees to carry out.
Mr Velt, with Vinpac general manager David Hutton, joined staff to congratulate Ms Fiegert on her achievements
He explained how staff took a vote and made a decision to run an incentive reward.
“(It’s about) everyone chipping in and having a go, making the most of an opportunity and getting a great job done.”
Mr Velt further thanked the employees for all their hard work.
In addition to having her named etched on the perpetual trophy to remain on site, Mrs Fiegert also received an voucher to the value of $100.
