Window opens on a new way to submit your news to Barossa Herald

This week, many of us are returning from holidays refreshed and ready for a new year, with whatever opportunities and challenges 2018 may bring.

Here at the Barossa Herald, something we reflect on every day is the importance of our relationship with you, our readers.

So we thought this was a perfect time to let you know about a new feature on our website designed to strengthen this relationship even more.

When you contact us to tell us about an event, a milestone in your life, or to give us a hot news tip, we do our best to get back to you as soon as we can.

We also know you understand that our newsroom can be a very busy place, and when news breaks, it’s all hands on deck to make sure we can bring you the latest updates as they unfold.

Now there’s a way for you to submit your stories and photos to us directly through a window on our website, so that we don’t miss a thing.

You can find our new community portal on a tab marked “Send us your news”.

Just go to the grey drop down menu at the top of our page and click on the link to find a simple form where you can upload your news.

You may have photos from an event your community group has held, or you may have something coming up you would like to let us know about.

Personal and family milestones matter to us too – send us photos of your new baby or share the special details of your wedding or anniversary with us.

This portal is also a quick and easy way to submit sports stories, match reports and results directly to our newsroom.

We are at the ready to help you get your news published, and if we need to know more, we will have your contact details to help us get in touch.

Our readers are our eyes and ears out there in the community. Through the portal, you can let us know instantly about something that’s going on in your street or suburb.

And like you, we always love to hear the extraordinary stories of ordinary people in our community who are doing something special behind the scenes.

We are proud of the work we do here at the Barossa Herald, and in 2018 we have big plans to take a step closer to you, our readers.

Wishing you all a safe, happy and prosperous New Year.
