Get ready for an action packed day of fun for the whole family when the beloved Parndana A&H Show returns this weekend.
This year’s show is set to kick off early with gates opening from 7.30am on Saturday.
The pavilion is set to be an absolute hive of activity, as a great number of competitors stage their final entries ready for judging across a number of categories and contests.
At 10am the focus will move outdoors as the pavilion closes for judging, but rest assured that while you wait to see how you have fared with your entries there is still plenty to do.
The main oval will feature an East versus West juniors cricket match in the morning, leading up to the main event later in the day when the Kangaroo Island Cricket Association Twenty20 Grand Final features at 1.30pm.
The Horse-in-Action are a long-standing feature of the show, showcasing the skills of the young and old.
The Parndana Show horse schedule is a qualifying event for the Royal Adelaide Show, so make sure to pass by the second oval to see the Kangaroo Island Pony Club on show.

The Water Walkers is a popular new attraction at the show this year, suitable for young children right through to adults. This amusement is incredible, as it allows you to walk on water. The best part is it all happens without getting wet!
A Remembrance Day ceremony will be held at the show at 11am, so remember to wear your poppies proudly on Show Day.
The ceremony will pay homage to our community’s post war history as well as a tribute to the 100th anniversary of the 4th Light Horse Brigade Charge at Beersheba, largely remembered as the last great cavalry charge, that significantly changed the course of WWI.
This will be celebrated with two horse riders wearing war uniforms.
The official Show opening will be at noon, and will be conducted by long-time resident Mrs Dianne McWhinnie. After the official opening the pavilion will re-open to the public.
A state semi-final in the Genoa Cake Competition and the CWA/Laucke Scone Competition will be held at the Parndana Show this year.
The winner will be eligible to enter into the state final at the Royal Adelaide Show in 2018. A live judging of these competitions will be held in the Show Pavilion at 12.30pm.

People are encouraged to bring their cameras and or photos along to help with getting the best answers and results for your photos.
Explore you way though the many trade sides at this year’s show. Find information and browse many sites from farm machinery and products, animal and pet needs, garden needs and plants.
Eat your way through the many local food stalls offering a range of different local foods and enjoy your day with activities for kids and show bags.
Each year there is a wide range of entertainment throughout the show day, from beginning to end, so there is something for every member of the family.
Take a break and sit back and enjoy some of the best shearers on the island go head to head to take out the shearing competition.
Have a go or just come and enjoy the fun of our young farmers fighting it out through our farm based challenges to compete for honours a big cash prize.
Kids are encouraged to bring along their bikes and compete for the fastest time around the BMX track in the BMX competition.
And remember to stay around to see the Dog Jumping Competition, which is always a great way to end the show.
