Four new exhibitions at Gawler gallery

On Sunday, Gawler Community Gallery officially opened four new exhibitions.

The exhibitions are:

  • Challenge on a canvas with the theme red. This was an open competition which attracted plenty of interest from local artists and an interesting variety of entries. Visitors to the allery can vote for their favourite artwork until September 10
  • Tineta Ellis
  • Truro Art Group
  • Joint exhibition by Ksenia Elliot and Lisa Wood.

The exhibitions include pieces in a wide variety of media including water colour, textiles, limestone, mixed media, oils and pencil.

The topics are also varied but visitors will notice a number of works featuring galahs.

This was purely coincidental as the artists who submitted their works had not planned this.

The exhibitions will be on display until September 10 at the Gawler Community Gallery at the Gawler Railway Station, Twenty Third Street, Gawler South.

The Gallery is open Thursday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, and Sunday, 9am to 3pm.
