This term the Mount Pleasant Primary School Student Representative Council has been busy organising the school’s Pet Day.

The day will be held on Friday, September 8.

It will include a pet parade, pet photo booth and guest speakers from the Responsible Pet Ownership Program and a STAR Group Police officer and his dog.

The SRC has elected to fundraise and support the Animal Welfare League as part of the day.

They have set up a collection box for donations of old blankets and towels, as well as dog and cat toys and treats.

The items collected will be given to the AWL shelter for homeless and abandoned animals.

If anyone from the wider community would like to make a donation they can be dropped at the front office of the school between 9am and 4pm weekdays.
