GATHERING: Barossa residents will participate in the annual Jehovah's Witnesses convention in September.

More than 100 Barossa people will join thousands from the state to attend the Jehovah’s Witness annual convention in Adelaide this September.

This year’s program is ‘Don’t Give Up!’ with the first of five, three-day events to be held in Adelaide beginning on Friday, September 1 from 9.20am.

The convention will highlight the importance of maintaining faith and how applying bible principles can benefit the lives and those of others in the wider community.

Each morning will feature introductory music-video recordings, as well as dramatic bible readings and dramas.

According to organisers, they expect more then 6000 to attend the Bible-based programs, including Jehovah’s Witnesses from various language foreign groups including Italian, Hindi, Spanish, Persian and Macedonian.

Worldwide there are over 8 million Jehovah’s Witnesses in more than 119,000 congregations.
