INVITE: The public sample wines from across the western Barossa region as part of the annual Marananga Wine Show.

The rich flavours of western Barossa made wines will again be on show this Saturday evening as part of the Marananga Wine Show’s public tasting.

The region is home to iconic wineries such as Whistler Wines, Seppeltsfield, Tscharke, Torbreck and Greenock Creek Wines, as well as a diverse number of small batch wine producers.

Each year, the wine show offers an extraordinary experience – an invitation to taste through the breadth of the wines on offer from this unique part of the Barossa.

An initiative of the Marananga Lutheran Church, the annual event is the only sub-regional wine show in Australia.

The public tasting provides guests a rare opportunity to sample more than 120 wine entries, and to cast their vote for the People’s Choice award.

This event is judged to Australian show judging standards, with the 14th Marananga Wine Show welcoming Sons of Eden winemaker Corey Ryan as chair of judges, head sommelier for Ghanem Group Penny Grant and Master of Wine David LeMire.

They will be joined by Yalumba assistant winemaker Will John as associate judge.

The public tasting is hosted this Saturday, August 26 for 7pm at The Vintage Cellar, Seppeltsfield Winery.

Tickets are $20 and include a tasting glass and light refreshments.

Bookings can be made online at Barossa.com or tickets are available for purchase at the door.
