Young people aged between 12 and 15 years are urged to apply for YMCA’s SA Junior Parliament initiative.
The fun program, to run in the October school holidays, is designed to give young people the opportunity to learn about parliament, meet new friends and develop leadership skills.
Pushing the three day/two night camp is Stuart MP Dan van Holst Pellekaan who says while he’s keen to see young people from his electorate apply, the program is open to all South Australia’s young people.
“Junior Parliament gives young people the opportunity to have their say on issues they care about,” he said.
The initiative is held from October 9-11 at Rostrevor College and Parliament House, Adelaide.
A participant’s fee of $220 will cover meals, accommodation and transport while on the camp. Application forms are available at https://jotform.co/72151854527862
