If you have a hankering for some traditional Indonesian food and enjoy supporting our youth, then this Friday night you are in luck.
Three Kapunda High Year 11 students will be serving up an “Indonesia to Please Ya” menu to assist their travels to the country in October this year.
The trio – Zoe Markos, Patrick Higgins and Bailey Fisher – will offer their time and energy by way of children’s programs at two orphanges.
The school’s pastoral support care worker Felyka Leske said the youth trip was offered through Mercy Indonesian, which was supported by Impact Churches, who extended an invitation to Kapunda High students.
While the students understand the trip comes with costs, they have since been busy behind the scenes working to raise funds, including the pop up take away outlet.
Thanks to Dave Scheerhoorn from Kapunda’s Fusion, plus a Barossa Indonesian cook, the students will sell Indonesian food this Friday from Fusion, located at 41-43 Main Street, Kapunda.
However, you only have until Thursday, June 22, at 4pm to get your orders in.
The menu boasts pork, chicken or beef of Mi Gorien or Nasi Gori with prices set at $10 for a large serving and $7 for small. A special discount of $1 applies to meals ordered before Thursday.
Cash orders can be made by messaging the Indonesia to Please Ya Facebook page or phone 8566 2701. Donations are also welcome.
