Evanston Park service station robbed


Police believe the man behind a service station robbery at Evanston Park on October 4 also robbed a Davoren Park supermarket the following night.

The IGA on Peachey Road at Daveron Park was held up about 7.45pm on October 5 by a male described as being his in late teens or early 20’s.

It is alleged the man confronted staff with a knife at On The Run, Main North Road in Evanston Park, about 11.20pm on October 4.

He stole cash, cigarettes and iced coffee which he put into a backpack before running east along Pots Road.

Gawler police patrols and a police dog searched the area, tracking the suspect along Potts Road and a creek before losing the trail on Tingara Road.

He is described as being a Caucasian male, about 177 centimetres tall who was wearing a dark-grey hooded jacket, black tracksuit pants with a white motif on the front left pocket, a black balaclava and black sneakers with white soles and white laces.
