Barossa District 2006 premiership players Taryn Wills and Bron Venning have been named co-coaches of the Bulldog’s Senior One side for 2010.

After being ruled out as a player due to pregnancy ‘Tiny Taz’ gets the chance to use her strong leadership skills in what could be a challenging year for the team.

Veteran defender Bronwyn Venning will be a key stabilising influence in what is being described as ‘the year of the Baby Bulldogs’.

“With the turnover of players we have there will be a number of positions filled by young, up and coming players,” Bron said.

“That is a good thing because Taryn’s natural enthusiasm will rub off on them so while we may not be loaded with experience that enthusiasm will go a long way.”

Barossa has lost coach Mel Rendell, utility Carly Madgen and defender Lee Beech from last year’s team which finished fourth after losing to Kapunda in a semi-final.
