Last week’s women’s lawn bowls country carnival yielded a fantastic result for the top-ranked pair from the Barossa and Light.

Association and Angaston pairs champions Leanne Mullins and Lyn Teakle performed superbly.

Both ladies play skipper for Angaston in Saturday Division Two pennant bowls while Lyn also plays skipper in the Ladies competition.

They started the country carnival week hoping to do well but were pleasantly surprised as they just kept on winning.

The pair won all three games in their section on Wednesday and again three games in the knockout round on Thursday.

In the quarter finals on Friday, Leanne and Lyn scored to progress into the semis putting them into the best four teams in the state.

Unfortunately on the Saturday at Holdfast Bay the duo were beaten by a Victor Harbor team which saw them finish equal third.
