The annual Collingrove Hillclimb meeting will be conducted on Easter Monday, April 13.
The action starts at 9.30am at the circuit which is on Hill Climb Road, just off the Mt Pleasant - Angaston Road, about 7km from Angaston.
A field of Historic Sports and Historic Touring Cars will be competing for class honours, including the West End Trophy.
They will be joined by a number of regular competitors eager to get in a few runs in the regularity field for more modern cars, trying to get an edge on the rest of the Winter Cup field.
The Collingrove circuit is owned by the Sporting Car Club of South Australia and is second only to Bathurst as Australia’s oldest registered racing venue.
The first meeting conducted under the auspices of CAMS (Confederation of Australian Motor Sport) was held at Collingrove in Easter, 1953.
The Collingrove Hillclimb is a 700 metre stretch of road which rises 50 metres from start to finish.
But there are a number of curves and hollows along the way which test the driving skill and ability of motorists as they race against the clock and the hill.
Admission on Monday is $10-per-car.
