Cantral District key defender moves on

10 Mar, 2010 11:05 AM
Central District’s six-time premiership player Yves Sibenaler has called time on his Bulldog career.

Although he is 32, it was not old age or injury that has seen the Bulldogs defensive anchor leave the kennel.

It was actually a new employment opportunity that lured him away.

Sibenaler has accepted a job as a fireman in Darwin. He should also be an attractive target for Darwin teams looking to add some class.

The timing of the decision leaves Dogs coach Roy Laird with some tough choices to make - he will now be forced to fast track the development of a replacement, rather than gradually bring new blood into the fray.
