 Planned wind farm for Keyneton

Planned wind farm for Keyneton

31 May, 2011 02:38 PM
Community information sessions to discuss a planned wind farm development near Keyneton will be held this month.

Australian-owned renewable energy company, Pacific Hydro is seeking to build a wind farm about three kilometres east of the town.

The company is investigating the appropriateness of the site.

Pacific Hydro wants to hear the community’s views on the proposal, including the layout, and is seeking feedback on sites of local interest and significance, the local landscape and proposed traffic routes and traffic conditions.

The first information session will be held at the Keyneton Institute Hall on Tuesday, June 21 from 3pm to 8pm.

The second session will be held at the Cambrai Institute Hall on Wednesday, June 22 from 3pm to 8pm.

The forums have been designed so people can ‘drop in’ when it suits them.

Staff from Pacific Hydro will be available during the sessions to answer any questions.

Those who can’t attend the sessions but would like to find out more about the project or provide feedback should call Emily Wood on (03) 8321 6440 or 0421 042 121 or send her an email at ewood@pacifichydro.com.au.
