Jon Stevens had the Vine Inn rocking on Friday night.
The crowd sung along to the Noiseworks hits and Stevens proved again that he has amazing vocal power.
When the band hit the stage there was a rush to fill the space at the front of the stage.
Stevens’ popularity with the females was obvious with plenty keen to get a prime position up close.
(There may have even been underwear thrown on stage during the show.)
The enthusiasm of the Nuriootpa crowd resulted in a number of encores, and Stevens even took requests.
The star sipped green tea between songs - doctor’s orders after open-heart surgery that delayed this concert by a few months.
Stevens used his experience to urge everyone to have their health checked.
The one-time ‘seventh member of INXS’ also paid tribute to the man he replaced - Michael Hutchence - during the gig.
Hutchence, who passed away in 1997, would have turned 50 a week before the Nuriootpa gig.
The concert event opened on a much brighter note, thanks to the performance from Sally Singleton.
Singleton - the daughter of ad man John Singleton - mixed a couple original songs in with her infectious cover versions.
The audience was set in a happy vibe with Singleton’s infectious show.
The Vine Inn concerts continue this weekend with The Sunny Cowgirls - for more information turn to the Vibe section on page 17.
