Grammy award-winning jazz diva Diana Krall will return to Australia in 2010 performing at five ‘day on the green’ events.
Krall, 44, will be at Peter Lehmann Wines on Saturday, February 27 as part of her tour.
In a world first, she will be joined by the Madeleine Peyroux and Melody Gardot.
Canadian-born Krall, who is married to Elvis Costello, will tour Australia for the first time since 2005 in support of her 12th album Quiet Nights.
Since her last visit she has given birth to twin boys, released four albums, produced and performed on an album with Barbra Streisand and toured across the United States, Europe and the United Kingdom.
Also returning to Australia and New Zealand for the first time since her sold out 2007 tour is the soulful and enigmatic Madeleine Peyroux.
Her latest album Bare Bones is the follow-up to previous albums Half The Perfect World and her million-plus selling breakthrough album Careless Love.
Rounding out the touring line up is Melody Gardot, who recently took Australia by storm during a short promotional visit in support of her new album My One and Only Thrill.
Opening the day’s music will be Katie Noonan and her band The Captains.
Katie’s most recent album ‘Blackbird’ was a collection of Lennon-McCartney songs, recorded in New York with the cream of jazz musicians, enabling her to combine her two loves of pop and jazz music.
