Dozens of Barossa and Eden Valley wines plus a few Barossa beers will be on show for thousands of visitors to appreciate next month.
They feature in the second Cellar Door Wine Festival, which runs from February 24 to 26 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.
The festival allows visitors to explore 12 iconic wines regions and enjoy tastings from more than 150 wineries.
This year 33 wineries from this region and one Barossa brewing company will be on show.
As part of the three-day event, this region is the only one in SA to feature in dedicated master classes.
Wine commenter Paul Henry and Appellation executive chef Mark McNamara will promote the best the Barossa and Eden Valley has to offer.
Other Barossa and Eden Valley wines will be recognised in other master classes like the ‘Brilliant Wines of SA’ and features the 2001 Heathvale Eden Valley Riesling and the 2011 God’s Hill 3 Rows unwooded Chardonnay, while the 2008 Craneford Voignier and the 2007 will be featured in the ‘Understanding Wine’ master class.
The festival involves a regional farmers market where visitors can sample and purchase from an array of unique products. Beer fans can sample a range of brews from microbreweries such as Barossa Valley Brewing.
In addition, live entertainment has been organised to keep visitors immersed in the atmosphere, and for children the Kidz Zone allows them to have their face painted, take home a twisted ballon and become involved in a colouring in competition.
