Serial petrol thief caught

An 18-year-old Gawler man has been arrested over a series of petrol thefts.

He was arrested on Saturday after a series of petrol drive-offs from service stations over the past six months.

He was charged with seven counts of making of without payment.

The offences are alleged to have occurred Between July 2011 and January 2012 at various service stations in the northern suburbs.

He was bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court in March.
