New Barossa Co-op boss

Meet Barossa Co-op's new chief executive officer Graeme Longmuir.

The Melbourne man, who began with the Nuriootpa-based retail co-operative on Wednesday, said he looks forward to being part of the community.

He said he wants build on the strengths that have already been established at The Co-op, enhance its reputation and drive the community side of the company.

Graeme, who currently calls Tanunda home, will soon be joined by his wife Julia.

The couple has three teenage daughters.

Mr Longmuir replaces former chief executive officer David McArthur, who held the position for almost 30 years and announced his retirement in September 2011.
